YOUTH BRAZILIAN
JIU-JITSU

Ages 5+

In our Youth classes, your child will learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in groups that are designed to meet his or her developmental and technical needs.  Geared for students 5-17 years old, this class will teach your child the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with emphasis on anti-bullying, self defense, physical fitness, and social skills in a fun and encouraging environment. Additionally, your child will learn self-discipline and cooperation, and develop self confidence and increased awareness. Learning to control an opponent, as well as learning to control oneself, are key goals in this class, as they are in life.
This is real Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, not a martial arts class designed to instill a false sense of self confidence in your child while draining your bank account through a series of contrived promotions.
Your child will learn real techniques in an environment that will teach them focus, attention to detail, and respect for themselves and others.
The discipline your child will learn will be born out of being placed in an environment that requires him or her to be active, to lean the techniques, and apply them in a competitive yet supportive environment. Your child WILL have the opportunity to compete in tournaments once he or she has demonstrated the requisite skill and maturity.
As with the adult class, this program is designed to have your child gain the physical and developmental skills to become the best athlete and individual possible.

Gi Classes

Regardless of whether you are a professional fighter looking to sharpen your submission skills or just wanting to get in shape and have a good time, our gi classes provide you both the fundamental and advanced aspects of body movement, control, and submissions you will need to meet your goals and, should you desire, advance through all the ranks/belts of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Taught by National champion black belt Instructors, some with over twenty years experience, this is a great class for both beginners wishing to learn the art and advanced practitioners wanting to improve their techniques and prepare for competition. These two hour long gi classes are mandatory for anyone looking to compete in MMA or submission tournaments and are the foundation to learning the art. Looking to fast track your training? Gi Optional/Competition Classes

Want to really sharpen your Jiu-Jitsu skills? These hour long sparring classes are designed to give you the opportunity to apply the techniques you learned in the Gi classes, though they can also be tailored to beginners who are still learning and developing their arsenal of techniques. These classes will take your game to the next level and prepare you for competition.  Looking to fast track your training? KICKBOXING

It does not matter if you are a seasoned pro or just getting off the couch, our Kickboxing classes will make you an outstanding striker, get you in great shape, and help you to have a blast. Taught by professional fighters and Kickboxing instructors, you will learn outstanding technique in an intense yet supportive environment! By combining techniques from Muay Thai, Dutch Kickboxing, and Western Boxing, this stand-up portion of the combat arts is refined into an approach that is beautiful in its effectiveness.   In no time, you will be perfecting sets of techniques and training them to be second nature.

We also offer Individual/Private Training Sessions as well to those looking to further advance striking techniques.

MMA

Mixed Martial Arts

You don’t have to be a professional fighter to train like one! As a fighter, it is not enough for you to have a single set of specialized skills, whether Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, kickboxing, or wrestling.  In our Mixed Martial Arts classes you will combine all of these combat arts into a single arena. Not only will you will develop a solid, realistic foundation that satisfies all facets of the fighting arts, but you will learn to blend these skills into a seamless arsenal. MMA training is more intense—mentally, emotionally, and physically—than any of the separate elements, but you will never be without the support of your teammates and coaches!

If you want to fight, we can take you as far as you want, including the professional level! As part of our team, we will select your venues, your opponents, and set up your training program, your fight camps, and coach you the night of your event.
Individual/Private Training Sessions are also available as well to those looking to take their game to the next level.

SELF DEFENSE

Traditional Women’s Self Defense classes are ineffective because they generally require the student to recall a complex series of moves in artificial environments. This class, with its incorporation of approaches from a variety of systems, is unique in that it teaches threat assessment and stresses simple intuitive techniques taught with the goal of disabling and creating space and from a larger, stronger and more aggressive opponent. No complex movements, no athletic ability, or physical prowess required. Just bring yourself!

It is recommended to take the course once a year to stay fresh on the skills you have learned.


The following topics will be covered:

  • Proper Mindset

  • Criminal Motives

  • Hardening Your Home

  • Automobile Safety

The students will then be introduced to physical self defense techniques designed to escape common threats. This is not a martial arts class, but rather a common sense approach to dealing with attempted physical violence and abduction. Physical prowess and strength are not required to effectively participate and accomplish these techniques.

  • Hair and clothing counters

  • Arm counters

  • Choke standing/wall/ground counters

  • Weapon counters

  • Closed quarters (vehicles) counters
