BOBBY JACOBSEN
Bobby started training martial arts in 1990 studying Danzan Ryu Jujitsu. He earned a black belt in that art in 1995. In the summer of 1992 one of the black belts from the school
attended a couple of Gracie jiu-jitsu seminars and showed what he had learned. The art seemed so much more effective and he became infatuated with learning the grappling
art. Unfortunately there were very few legit instructors at the time in the U.S. so he got what available info there was out on video and just rolled with the guys in
his gym. Before finding BJJ of Olympia he trained at ATT West/Victory Athletics.
Bobby had his first fight in 1996 fighting in Matt Hume's UFCF organization. Over the next few years Bobby fought 11 times. After a 6 year hiatus he fought 3 times in
2005. In February 2011 he was scheduled to make his professional mma debut but his opponent pulled out of the fight.
Bobby is currently a brown belt at BJJ of Olympia, teaches the Sunday classes and helps the fighters prepare for upcoming fights
