Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Class Info |
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu of Olympia offers training by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Robert Owens, a knowledgeable and accomplished instructor. We provide an environment that allows students to establish good skills and attain their individual goals. This is not a "shark tank" environment where only the physically gifted survive. If you want to get in shape, learn real world self defense, compete in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or submission/mixed martial arts tournaments, or successfully combine any of the above, we will provide you with the individual instruction and attention that allows you to meet your goals. We offer Gi, No Gi (submission grappling), military certification, women's self-defense, and children's classes, as well as private individual and small group lessons.
Gi Classes
Taught wearing the standard Jiu-Jitsu uniform (Gi), this is the foundation class that teaches both fundamental and advanced aspects of body movement, control, and submissions. This is a great class for beginners wishing to learn the art and get into shape, advanced practioners who wish to compete, as well as those who wish to expand their self-defense skills.
No Gi (Submission Grappling) Classes
Generally, this is for students who have an understanding of the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu and desire to learn the application of its techniques without the Gi. Although students in this class are often looking to compete, this class can be used by those students simply looking to attain a higher level of conditioning and skill.
Individual or Small Group Lessons
Individual and Small Group lessons are available by appointment. During a private lesson, you will be given specific instruction in fundamental and advanced aspects of Jiu-Jitsu and/or self defense. Robert will also help you create a game plan to achieve specific goals and to take your game to the next level.
Small Group lessons can be arranged to address specific topics and answer questions provided by the group members. Robert can also evaluate your group during a lesson and provide specific instruction to quickly improve the skills of the group members.
Please contact Robert for more information and to schedule a private or small group lesson.
